Theater
I'm first and foremost obsessed about all kinds of theater performances. Namely those of acrobatics. My recent visit to the Chaoyang Theater in Beijing was a huge success! It's one of the most magical performances I've had the pleasure of visiting during many of my trips to China. Check out the photographic section for some of the amazing pictures I took from there. Seeing them still makes my hair stand up, that's how fantastic the show there is!
Another eye boggling Acrobatic Show in Beijing I recommend is Legend of Jinsha. It's not as exiting but the decorations and clothing are some of the most amazing I have ever seen. I had a chance to take a lot of awesome pictures there too.
China and especially it's theater scene is a true feast for taking photographs!
Travel
I think a lot of people would like to travel, just not that many people dare to travel. For me, traveling was never that easy but slowly it became natural to me.. and I earned to enjoy the adventure. When you let the stream of life flow, you never know where you end up. For me, "the trip" is all about the flow. It makes my heart pump and most importantly learn about the little things in life. Those things that create what is known as "happiness".
This might sound like nothing new.. but to do it in reality is a different matter than talking about it. As much as I would like to show everyone how to do it. Personal experience speaks the best in these cases. Also I like to travel alone if possible, so not many of my friends know what I am actually doing on those trips.
But for that I have my wonderful website here! :)
Art, Kitchen Goods & Tableware
I've always been a huge fan of art that is usable in every day life. In that way, you get to live with the art and enjoy together the beauty from many different angles as well as moments in life. Also I've often combined travel with my hobby, which has crossed paths with some amazing makes of ceramics. Namely one, known as "Arabia Vintage" has become something special in my life. Sometimes I think, that the things that we use the most in our everyday lives are kitchen goods and tableware. It's what keeps us living, yes I am talking about eating. And with artistic style, such as the one of Arabia, life can be wonderful!
The interesting thing however, is that we did not cross paths in the origin of the brand itself, which is Finland. But I found about the wonderful world of Arabia in Japan. A country, that has special interested in not only finland, but especially the goods that are made there. It was an interesting encounter, and through the dedication of the Japanese people, namely the owner of "アラビアヴィンテージ" which means, Arabia Vintage.
He was the kindest person, and while giving great insight on Japanese brands.. I did feel a connection that had personal value towards Arabia.
The other thing, is that a few years ago Japan was devastated by the horrific earthquake and tsunami. After that, ecologic thinking has been on the rise. How to save energy, materials and our planet. Well, this is where the vintage of things come in.. as previously second hand had not been that popular, but now it is blooming!
I hope to get my collection running in the following years so I can take some wonderful pictures of these kitchen goods that have already started to enrich my life in new and brilliant ways! Check it out.
